Solace and common ground

-I used to seek solace and nourishment from gathering with like-minded people ( such as when I was almost exclusively focused on LGBT issues 15 years ago). But now I seek it from finding common ground with people in general, and not necessarily from people who think like me (whether the matter at hand is veganism, atheism, socialism, Queer issues, or whatever).
