I by no means claim there to be no injustice in our society. Nor do I claim our current system to be amenable to correcting all injustices.
But my guess is that the current system we have, overall, may provide means for correcting injustice more so than what we’d have after a revolution. I say we build upon and reform our current system.
Am I just saying this because I am a white relatively well-off person ? You tell me. I am expressing what makes sense to me at this point in my life.
To me, at times, the ideals of our current system seem mere words with which privileged and oppressed alike delude ourselves into thinking all is right with the world.
Yet, when I talk with people who advocate revolution their ideas, to me, make the ideas of the current system seem clear and practical, by comparison.
