An idea I got as I listened to Pacifica Radio’s Democracy Now! program is that they use material from local reporters as their need for it arises. Well, that’s obvious, but the idea I have regarding my own time and energy that I spend audio recording and video recording and otherwise recording statements from people is that, it may be the case, though I am not sure, that I will increase my chances of having some of my material used by news orgs and getting paid for it, if at least some of my audio and video and other recordings involve what various government officials do and say, and involve what other ‘newsmakers’ do and say.
To do that, I intend to develop an archive of sorts of audio, video, and text material, bearing in mind the prospective usefulness that material may have to media organizations that may pay me some money for their usage of my material.
