Aug 15, 2020 Kamala Harris and Joe Biden

Sanders, AOC, Black Lives Matter…etc influenced what Harris and Biden are now talking about.

But they can’t do much to implement that talk, not because they’re bad people or unqualified, but because countering big money will require social movements on par with the 1960s, all else being equal.

(There are a lot variables such as climate breakdown, monetary collapse, war with China..etc)

The political right labels “radical leftist” any semblance of support for social democracy, against oligarchy.

The Democrats could dispel that nonsense IF they were not so beholden to big money.

The rightwing won’t suddenly go away if Trump is out office.

The rightwing will be part of the Congress and have become an increased segment of the judiciarywith numerous young rightwing judges.

The millions of heavily armed citizens whose anger and fear is stoked by rightwing propaganda won’t suddenly disappear with Trump out office either.

Next time the aspiring dictator may be more adept than what we’ve seen in Trump.

Democratic politicians can help diffuse the extreme right by administering democracy instead of working for the donor class.

Simply electing Biden and Harris won’t fix the problem.
The US has to heavily invest in its infrastructure, its human resources, and its environment to slow if not avoid continued political, economic, and cultural decline.

To do that, we must tax the wealthy instead of borrowing from them and we must have a democracy not a system run by big money.
