One, though not the only type of reporting I intend to do is focus on
what ordinary people think about public issues. This approach differs
from one which focuses on interviewing experts.
Stand in public place such as Broad and High or some other place,
using a mic w/ windscreen and video camera asking people “why do you
thin the United States is occupying Iraq” –Afghanistan, or other
questions about Peak Oil, Climate Change, globalization, socialism,
and so on
One aspect of reporting may be to take a portion of someone’s writing
and ask them to say or write more. In at least some respects, the
reporter is a part of that writing or communication process. I may
request James Hoggan to say more about people not wanting to change
life style if we think our efforts will be rendered irrelevant by people
around us who we think aren’t trying.
