Regarding medical marijuana, Kilroy said the Food and Drug Administration should find the best methods for delivery and dosage.
“But I think it’s time we examine this issue even more fully than that. I don’t think the US Government should be prosecuting people for using medical marijuana. I will oppose any prosecutions of those kinds when I go back to Congress. I suffer from Multiple Sclerosis. There are people with MS who suffer a lot of pain and people with cancer who suffer from a lot of nausea with their treatments. I’ve heard from both groups of people that marijuana helps them.”
Kilroy, a candidate for federal office, said by email medical marijuana has worked in other states and that Ohio voters should make our own decision.
“We need to keep our eye on the economy, but I would definitely consider national legislation.”
