Corporate abuse of power is only part of the problem

The corporate abuse of power seems the thread running thru so many issues—fracking, tar sands, mountain top removal, the Drug War, The War on Terror, the prison-industrial complex, the medical-industrial complex, and so on and so forth. But even with participatory democracy in every spot in a world where political and economic power is shared in a global network of locally run entities, we might still render Earth uninhabitable. That may be because of billions of humans living highly resource-intensive lives.
