Amidst anti war protests, a call for socialist revolution ?

This is not your parents’ anti-war movement ( I can say that if I have
solid evidence that 1960’s anti- Vietnam War activists focused more on
King’s and Ghandi’s non-violent resistence whereas today’s anti-Iraq
and anti- Afghanistan war activists are departing from that to focus
more on revolution that does not rule out the use of violence–(hat’s
a big IF but maybe I can still say that based not on the departure
from non-violent resistence but on the emphasis on socialism of
today’s movement –if the 1960’s anti- Viet war movement had signific
less emphasis on changing from global capitalism to socialism.)
Judging from some of the banners and chants and speeches and my one
-on -one talks , the call to replace capitalism with socialism was a
Thomasover@gmail.com part of the sentiment though at least two people
I spoke with were not in favor of socialism. So, at this point of my
writing, here is a possible theme for at least some of my reporting on
the DC protest: Within the crowd gathered in DC a call for socialism.
That would be less provacative, and perhpas more widely credible w/
readers and listeners than writing ‘a call for socialist revolution’
