Talk about love ?

To what extent do you yourself feel inclined toward talking with people about love, or as Christians call it, ‘agape’, front and center ? From there, we can apply love to our actions, privately and politically, according to our own lights, don’t you think ? —From the common ground of agreeing that love is the core value, would you say that we then can compare notes with our friends, family, coworkers and neighbors, and then collaborate on our shared concerns ? —–I ask these questions because some, not all, people engaged in advocacy or other service provision to those in great need want to include the message of their political or religious doctrines. For example, some folk with Food Not Bombs want to distribute anarchist or Marxist lit when the food they serve, perhaps similar to how some churches might include messages about Jesus Christ in their soup kitchens and food pantries. ——-But what do you think of the idea of interfaith work whereby we agree on shared values that we can demonstrate and communicate to those we help, with out it being necessarily Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, or atheist, and without it necessarily being politically right-wing or left-wing ? —–Maybe those shared universal values can be based on love and compassion and otherwise striving to harmony among humans and between humans and other life forms ?
