Activists 'pushing an agenda.'

Given how billions of dollars are spent by corporations to shape public policy thru lobbying and financing of political campaigns, and billions more are spent on PR and advertising, and billions more on attaching strings which bias scientific research, it’s ironic, if not surreal, when someone says activists, with relatively no money and political access, are arrogantly and presumptuously trying to push our agenda or impose our will on the masses.

My nephew said it was the rule of the universe that we shouldn’t try to change the world. That reminds me of the notion of divine right monarchies. It’s the will of God or the proper order of the universe for those in power to exploit others just as it’s God’s will for humans to exploit animals and destroy ecosystems, I suppose. —–The abuse of power thrives on political withdrawal, and isolated individualism.
